My new picture book biography about Jonas Basanavičius, one of the most important people in the Lithuanian Independence movement in the beginning of the 20th century, Per balas link aušros. Pasakojimas apie Jono Basanavičiaus keliones ir darbus is published in Lithuania by Tikra knyga.

The book is about the life of Jonas, his works, travels and dreams. A doctor, scientist, explorer, traveller and storyteller, Basanavičius was a peculiarly enthusiastic and determined person, and it was interesting for me to try to tell his story for kids as of a lively friend from the past.
